Happy almost Fourth of July! This month's Tar Heel is coming in hotter than a North Carolina summer day, and only two days late for the month (if you can write, edit, build content, or have some other creative skill to offer, we really need some help). Most importantly, filing is open for a number of local races, many of which have the potential to be unopposed or only have one other candidate. Details are in the newsletter, but please, check your local board of elections and then reach out if you are interested in potentially running, and soon, as many close this week.
In this edition, Ryan makes the case that we are winning, Dr. Mike Munger shares his thoughts on how your vote matters, Rob Yates offers some thoughts on the immigration discussion the country is currently having, and we give you the text from all the speeches at the More Voices, More Choices rally from earlier this month. Liberty iNC is seven episodes deep in season 4, and there are a few new open positions in the LPNC, including a paid internship position.
David Hosely writes to his local newspaper about the meaning of freedom as we enjoy the Fourth, Matthew Kordon proposes some Libertarian solutions to environmental challenges, the Mises Club Carolinas has an August event with spots still open, and Liberty Babes is doing its thing.
