Conclusion
In as many words as you'd like, explain why you are a pro-Liberty candidate or would increase Liberty in the state during the upcoming NCGA term? The LPNC will post your entire response to our website. |
As a progressive Democrat, my commitment to social justice, economic equality, and environmental sustainability shapes my political values. I believe, supporting a more pro-liberty agenda by emphasizing individual freedoms, reducing government overreach, and fostering innovation puts a closer together than further apart. I believe in policies that end mass incarceration, that end generational poverty and protect freedom of speech and expression. My main focus is on protecting our public schools by fully funding them and giving our next generation the best possible outcomes of succeeding. I am in favor of school choice but not at the expense of public tax dollars. As a "girl dad" and a teacher whose taught thousands of women protecting their right to make decisions about their own body including the right to an abortion should be left up to her doctors and who she chooses to be on her support team. The exam room is too small for her team plus the government to make a decision. Raising the state minimum wage to over $15 dollars an hour and getting rid of taxes on tips is something thats long overdue but it will allow families to have some breathing room in their finances. The goal is to help break generational poverty and that would also include getting rid of degree requirements on certain jobs that prevent diversity in hiring local. Lastly, bringing transparency and accountability back into our state government is critical. We work for the people and should not be hiding our emails from those who pay our salary. |
