Conclusion
In as many words as you'd like, explain why you are a pro-Liberty candidate or would increase Liberty in the state during the upcoming NCGA term? The LPNC will post your entire response to our website. |
I consider myself a constitutional conservative. I believe in a strict interpretation of the Constitution. I adhere to an originalist judicial philosophy. I believe jurists should interpret the law, not make the law. We should also interpret the law as it was written. Redefining the legal meaning of words only encourages judicial activism and takes power away from the people. I believe in the original meaning of the Second Amendment and all of our Bill of Rights. I believe smaller government enables more opportunity for citizens to succeed. I have authored over 250 opinions at the NC Court of Appeals. These include Kinsley v. Ace Speedway (holding the speedway could challenge COVID shutdowns under the NC Constitution) and Fearrington v. City of Greenville (holding red light cameras were unconstitutional).
