The Libertarian Party of Pender County held their annual convention on March 18th. Local members elected their executive committee for the 2025-2026 year with the following results:

• Kimberly Acer-Chair
• Annelena Mattison-Treasurer
• Hank Thobe-Secretary
• At-large members-John Lobdell and Bryce Acer.

The group will continue local meetups this spring on the third Thursday of each month at 7:00pm at Nineteen Restaurant in Hampstead. This summer, Pender County Libertarians plan to focus primarily on local outreach. They hope to increase their presence by strengthening communications with current members and 2024 voters.

They will adjust meetup locations later this year to be more accessible in other areas of the large county.

Also in the southeastern region of the state, the Cape Fear Libertarian Party (CFLP) held their convention on March 8th at the New Hanover County Library. Bob Drach, who also ran for State Auditor last fall, was re-elected as Chair, along with the following regional Executive Committee members; Kimberly Acer- Vice-Chair, Justin Hinckley- Treasurer, Bryce Acer- Secretary, and At-large members- Michelle Sundstrom, Jennifer Bias, Stephen Sumner, and Hank Thobe. Local members will continue two quarterly events throughout 2025, the Adopt-A-Highway cleanup and the Blood Drive. They will also be holding their fourth annual "Freedom Fire Fest" on October 4th, so mark your calendars in advance! Regularly scheduled county meetups and other regional activities will be added to the website.

CFLP counties (Brunswick, New Hanover, Pender, Onslow, and Duplin) all have open spaces for delegates to this year's state convention in May.
