Johneka Williams—Head of School, Longleaf School of the Arts—will join us on April 27 to speak about the benefits of School Choice, and the importance of having many educational options. She will offer some insight regarding some of the unique ways they are developing students into confident, responsible, and successful contributors in college, career, and community through mentorship and a challenging curriculum that integrates academics and the fine arts. Her vision is to create a safe, inclusive, and respectful school community of authentic learners who pursue knowledge with a creative, thorough, and rigorous approach that creates quality work of the highest merit. Putting students first and allowing parents to have a say in how their kids are educated is the way forward in our diverse society today.
Note: At this event we will be collecting disposable razors, shaving cream, and deodorant to fill the pantry at St. John's Metropolitan Community Church. They have been consistent in helping our local community by providing shelter, food and toiletries to folks in need. If you’d like to contribute, please bring your donation goods and we will distribute it accordingly. Thank you in advance for taking care of the ones who need it the most.
