Trevor's Takes: March 2025

When I launched my podcast in October 2024, I was completely clueless about what I was getting into. Yet, I felt compelled to start both the podcast and Substack because I believed there was a real need for a platform to have open, honest conversations about the future of Christianity in the West. I was particularly interested in engaging with those theologically conservative and moderate voices within Mainline denominations—like The Episcopal Church and Presbyterian Church USA—but I also welcomed guests from outside the Mainline who share these values.

While the low financial overhead of podcasting and blogging is a definite perk, juggling interviews with my regular schedule has proven challenging. Between work commitments, volunteer duties, and the podcast itself, my calendar is constantly packed. There have been moments during interviews when exhaustion set in, yet I had to push through to get the conversation done. And while editing episodes can be a painstaking process, I’m proud to say I’ve managed to maintain a steady release schedule.

On the upside, this journey has allowed me to meet a host of fascinating new people who I otherwise wouldn’t have encountered. I’m excited to announce that I have several guests lined up in the coming weeks to kick off a new series of interviews centered on the Christian music scene. Of course, I also plan to continue my regular “Voices of Faith” series, where I highlight individuals and organizations that uphold theologically conservative and moderate perspectives.

For my regular readers and listeners, expect a more organized announcement about upcoming interview series in just a few weeks. Until then, stay blessed.

Blessings,
