The Libertarian Party is a consistent and principled advocate for freedom, equal rights, transparency, peace, and more!  Founded in 1971, the Libertarian Party has been guided by the philosophy that no one should initiate force or fraud against another person or their property.  

Unlike other parties you may be more familiar with, we do not bend our principles to public opinion, but rather seek to bend public opinion to our principles.

The Libertarian Party of North Carolina has been on the ballot in every gubernatorial and presidential election in our state since 1978, except for 1992.
