The Courage are a lot like the LPNC: their fan base is smaller than the other major league sports teams in the state, but it’s growing faster than any of their “big brothers.” And winners of the 2022 and 2023 Challenge Cup and with eight World Cup players on their roster, they are primed to make some noise in the forthcoming National Women’s Soccer League post-season championship playoffs.

But first, they have their final home game against San Diego. a team two points ahead of them in the standings with three games to play. A win could vault the Courage into second place which is huge, as the first- and second-place regular season finishers get first-round byes in the playoffs.

And if you have been to WakeMed Soccer Park, you know the amenities are first-class and that there’s no such thing as a bad seat…a great place to watch a soccer match. And if you haven’t, well, it’s pretty much a required cultural experience for any denizen of the Triangle.
