When you think of Libertarians, “fabulous” is probably not the first adjective that springs to mind. But outreach is about meeting other people on their terms. Since its founding over 40 years ago, the Libertarian Party has been a strong advocate for every important civil rights issue affecting the Gender and Sexual Minority (GSM) community. And yet, Libertarians never seem to earn overwhelming support from the community. Erik Raudsep knows how to change that. Erik leads numerous outreach efforts designed to translate Libertarian principles into a compelling message for the GSM community. He also spends countless hours representing that community’s concerns within the party. His presentation will illuminate ways in which Libertarians and the Libertarian Party can build stronger support within the GSM and other minority communities in working toward our common goal of liberty for all.
Erik Raudsep is a prolific libertarian activist, former LPNC Executive Committee member, 2018 candidate for the North Carolina General Assembly and the Chair of the Carolinas and National Assistant Fundraising Chair of Outright Libertarians, a grassroots organization with the motto “From Liberty Springs Equality” dedicated to building a bridge between the Libertarian Party and the GSM community.
Libertarians aspire to protect all of your rights, all of the time. Have questions about how we might go about that? Come on by any Wednesday night at the Oak & Dagger, there’s great food and beer!
