May 1st, 2020 was the "May Day Protest"
Last year, individuals across the country came together in their cities and protested for the reopening of the country after Governors nationwide imposed state-wide shutdowns of entire sectors of business and public places.
Here we are, May 1st, 2021, and we are still fighting against illegal shutdowns and horrible leadership.
Many businesses have permanently closed and many people have lost their livelihoods. Our local Main Street shops and restaurants have had to compete against the intense pressure of internet e-commerce.
Our schools, churches, and gatherings are still subject to Governor Cooper's "dimmer switch" approach where he alone permits the appropriate commerce and sets rules for human association.
Moreover, our NC DHHS public health agency holds our state hostage by threatening to NOT lift the mandates until two-thirds of adults are vaccinated.
Some people do not want to submit themselves to an experimental shot that was approved by the FDA for emergency use only and will not complete clinical trials until 2023.
Please join us this Saturday May 1st at 10AM with a sign, banner, or flag as we continue to fight for freedom in North Carolina. We want every mandate to be lifted from our state.
We will protest at the southwest corner of the intersection at state highways 51 and 16 (the Arboretum corner of Pineville-Matthews and Providence).
