NEW POLITICAL DIRECTOR FOR THE LIBERTARIAN PARTY OF NORTH CAROLINA BRINGS EXPERIENCE AND PASSION TO A GROWING ORGANIZATION
February 19, 2013 — The executive committee of the LPNC met on Saturday, February 16th and received their first report from their newly elected Political Director, Erik Raudsep.
Raudsep, is a voting member of the executive committee of the LPNC and has been involved in politics for many years now. He started off in campaigns for the Republican Party and has an extensive history with grass roots operations with many campaigns varying in size from Assembly races to US Senate races. Most notably was the US Senate race for Rick Lazio in 2000, In which Raudsep was the Chief Technical Officer for the Campaign.
The Political Director is responsible for maintaining and communicating long range political strategies for the LPNC. This includes analysis of the state’s political demographics and the interpretation of these metrics into a two to three election cycle plan to win offices for the LPNC.
In the coming year Raudsep says that he is going to focus on developing candidate training systems for the Libertarian party, fund raising to ensure that the Libertarian party has the means to achieve its goals, and on outreach to broaden the base of support from local organizations to further the message of Liberty in North Carolina.
Raudsep, also the Secretary for the Durham/Orange County Libertarian Party affiliate, has a passion for grassroots politics and an ability to motivate others with the message of Liberty. We greatly welcome Erik Raudsep into this role and we are excited to work with him and the energy he brings to the political table.
