US Senate Candidates Debate—Wilmington

The debate (forum) is sponsored jointly by the Wilmington area League of Women Voters and WECT-TV in Wilmington. All three candidates whose names appear on the ballot—Democrat Kay Hagan, Libertarian Sean Haugh, and Republican Thom Tillis—have accepted invitations to participate. Moderated by WECT anchor Jon Evans, the debate will air 7pm on Thursday, October 9th. It will be broadcast statewide (check your local listings) plus webcast live at wect.com

The debate will be held in a WECT-TV studio; there is no live audience. However, if you are in the Wilmington area, come and join the Debate Watch Party at the Front Street Brewery, 9 North Front Street! They will be dedicating one of their big screen TVs to us. Come watch and then stay for the after-party with Sean Haugh and Campaign Manager Rachel Mills, who are scheduled to appear at the bar directly following the debate.

The debate will be carried live in Raleigh on WNCN-2 which is available on TWC channel 1245 or on “Antenna TV” at 17.2. There is a Debate Watch Party at The Gourmet Factory at 3933 Western Blvd.

I think I heard Kay Hagan is not going to show up at the debate. Guess she is afraid Sean may liberate some liberals from the 'left wing" of the Demopublican Statist Party!

Note: there is no live audience at this event, and in many cases the best way to watch is going to be the livestream on WECT's website. Consider hosting a watching party!

This should be the only real debate because it involves more than two Statists bandying around the same failed bullshit policies!

Though I can't make it in person, I am looking forward to seeing it. How exciting!
