A Pledge to Property Owners

I hereby pledge to adhere to the spirit of the Constitution of the United States of America with respect to the protection of personal property rights.

Specifically, I promise to never support any local ordinance, judicial activity, legislative act or amendment thereof which provides for the use of eminent domain in any case where the property in question would revert to any individual, business, or corporation.

Likewise, should I ever have the opportunity; I shall support any local ordinance, judicial activity, legislative act or amendment thereof which would prohibit the transfer of such property to any non-governmental agency.

In any case where a governmental body desires the use of eminent domain for public use, I shall reserve any support of the measure until such time as all other available options have been exhausted.

I recognize that property ownership is a fundamental right not bestowed upon us by government, but by common and natural law. I shall do everything within my power to protect these basic human rights.

Signed: ______________________________
