Check out Libertarian Party of North Carolina. I just joined.

Join the Libertarian Party of North Carolina

You can join the Libertarian Party of North Carolina as either a member or an associate.

    Member

To become a member of the LPNC you must be a North Carolina resident, not registered to vote with any other political party (you can be registered unaffiliated…or not registered at all), and fulfill any one of these requirements. One is sufficient; more than one is better.

    1. Register to vote as a Libertarian. If you're already a registered Libertarian voter, congratulations. You're a member of the LPNC. If you're not sure, check your registration here. But please fill out our membership form below. And consider becoming a dues-paying member of the LPNC.

    2. Pay dues to the LPNC. State dues are defined as any one-time or recurring donation totaling $25 or more in a calendar year for any purpose to the LPNC or any of our affiliate parties.

    3. Pay dues to the national Libertarian Party. If you already do so, please consider doing the same for the LPNC.

    4. Sign a NIOF statement. Simply check the box next to this statement, "I certify that I do not advocate the initiation of force to achieve social or political goals" in the sign-up form below.

    Member Benefits

As a member of the LPNC you will:

    • Receive our monthly e-mail newsletter, and updates on party activities

    • Be eligible to serve on the LPNC Executive Committee or the executive committee of an LPNC affiliate

    • Be eligible to serve on the LPNC Executive Committee or the executive committee of an LPNC affiliate

    • Be eligible to serve as a delegate to your local LPNC affiliate party’s convention, the State Convention, and as an NC delegate to the Libertarian Party National Convention.

    Associate

If you are a resident of North Carolina but registered to vote as a Democrat or Republican (or any other recognized political party) you may become an LPNC associate by fulfilling any one of these requirements. One is sufficient; more than one is better.

    1. Pay dues to the LPNC. State dues are defined as any one-time or recurring donation totaling $25 or more in a calendar year for any purpose to the LPNC or any of our affiliate parties.

    2. Pay dues to the national Libertarian Party. If you already do so, please consider doing the same for the LPNC.

    3. Sign a NIOF statement. Simply check the box next to this statement, "I certify that I do not advocate the initiation of force to achieve social or political goals" in the sign-up form below.

    Associate Benefits

Associates will receive the monthly e-mail newsletter and may participate in local and state party activities, attend county and state conventions, and support Libertarian candidates and work on their campaigns. But associates are not eligible to serve as party officers or executive committee members at any level, as delegates to county and state conventions or as NC delegates to the Libertarian National Convention.

    What Your Contribution Supports

Of course, whether or not you are a member or associate of the Libertarian Party of North Carolina, you can still contribute, volunteer, support any of our candidates, or sign up to get our newsletter.

The LPNC receives no funds from the national party, nor do we accept money from special interest groups and lobbyists. Every dollar we spend comes from liberty-minded individuals like you. Your contribution will help us:

    • Help fund our candidates to get the right people elected

    • Conduct local and state outreach efforts, including the annual State Fair

    • Produce and print local promotional materials, and purchase national promotional materials
