LPNC & Affiliate Events

These events provide liberty-minded individuals across the great state of North Carolina with a special opportunity to network, hear from distinguished speakers, develop their skills to promote and spread liberty and assist in providing the motivation to make their local regions a freer place. Our goal is to educate, develop, and empower the current and future generation of leaders to expand the libertarian dream. For more about what is happening in your county, check out the website or other social media of the pertinent affiliate party.

    Charity Event: Walk ALS Triangle

    WHAT
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS a/k/a Lou Gehrig’s Disease) is a progressive, fatal neuromuscular illness that slowly but inexorably robs the body of its ability to walk, speak, swallow and breathe. The life expectancy of a person with ALS averages 2 to 5 years from the time of diagnosis.

Every 90 minutes a person in this country is diagnosed with ALS and every 90 minutes another person will lose their battle against this disease. ALS occurs throughout the world with no racial, ethnic, or socioeconomic boundaries.

    WHY
Presently there is no known cause of the disease, let alone a cure, so research is a critical need. In the meantime, it costs an average of $250,000 a year to provide the care people living with ALS and their families need. So providing help there is also a high priority!

    HOW
This will be WakeLP’s seventh year of partnering with the Pop’s Party People team on the annual Walk ALS Triangle fundraising event, sponsored by ALS United North Carolina. Together we can make a difference in the lives of those affected by ALS. Our team is committed to raising money to support people in our community with ALS and spread awareness of the urgency to find treatments and a cure.

Pop’s Party People have raised over $120,000 to help patients with ALS and to support research to find the cause and cure. Over half of every dollar donated goes to patient services and clinical centers. Another 20% goes to research, 10% to public policy advocacy, and 10% to fundraising. Please consider joining our team in 2024!

    WHEN & WHERE
We will gather together at the Halifax Mall, downtown Raleigh and then walk and roll together, united with wheelchairs and scooters, families, neighbors and friends, strollers and pets—all are welcome! If you can make it, please register here:

If you can't make it to the walk, you can still use that link to make a donation.

With your support, we can make a difference in the lives of people affected by this disease right here in North Carolina. Thank you so much and we hope to see you there. If you have any questions about this event please contact Wes Hare at (919) 389-3459.
