Hi, I am Jesse Mignogna I have lived on the Outer Banks of North Carolina for the past nine years. In 2003 I graduated from Manteo High school and in 2007 I graduated from East Carolina University with my Bachelor degree in Political Science. Currently I am working for the Kill Devil Hills Ocean Rescue. In the fall I will be going back to East Carolina University to attend graduate school for business administration.

My principle issues are:

1. Ending municipal aggression: Municipal aggression through forced annexation and eminent domain abuse occurs far too often. I will make it top priority to ensure that the residence of North Carolina will not have their land and property unjustly stolen from them by the government.

2. Restoring free, fair and open elections to North Carolina: by the simple reform of eliminating barriers to ballot access.

3. I support improving public education through school choice and competition by using tax credits and vouchers and by lifting the charter school cap.

My platform is simple:

I will support reducing the size, scope and power of government at all levels and on all issues, and will oppose increasing the size, scope and power of government at any level, for any purpose.

Our current philosophy of government may be summarized six words: If it sounds good, do it. -- Doug Newman
